Thin stone veneer calculator

Enter the wall area and outside corners to see how many square feet of flats and linear feet of corners to order.

Two 4 ft tall outside corners = 8 linear ft.

How to measure

Multiply each wall's length by its height and add them up, then subtract doors and windows. For corners, measure each outside corner from top to bottom and add them together. Inside corners use flats.

Common questions

How much thin stone veneer do I need?

Measure the wall area in square feet and subtract doors and windows. Measure the outside corners in linear feet (top to bottom). Each foot of corner covers about 0.75 sq ft, so you need fewer flats. Add about 10% for cutting.

What are veneer flats and corners?

Flats are the pieces for flat wall areas, sold by the square foot. Corners are L-shaped pieces for outside corners, sold by the linear foot, so the stone looks full-depth.

How much thin veneer is on a pallet?

About 150 sq ft per pallet.

Thin veneer or full-bed chop?

Thin veneer is lighter and needs no brick ledge, so it works on existing walls and interiors. Full-bed chop needs a ledge or footing and costs less per square foot of stone.
