What “4-6-8-10” means
Chop is sawn top and bottom into course heights of 4, 6, 8 and 10 inches with a rough split face. Masons mix the heights for a random ashlar pattern or keep to one height for a clean ledge look.
Austin limestone
White, cream and Austin brown are the classic Central Texas home exteriors. Nicotine, cave mix and Texas mix bring warmer tan and rust tones; premium cave is hand-selected for the strongest color movement.
Lueders limestone
Lueders is a dense West Texas limestone. We stock charcoal, antique and tan fossil blue Lueders for exteriors, fireplaces and commercial facades that need a tighter, more even stone.

Typically 35–45 sq ft of wall face per ton, depending on the course heights and stone depth.
What’s the difference between Lueders and Austin stone?
Austin limestone is softer with more color variation; Lueders is denser, with tighter grain and cooler grey and blue tones.
